Marion is the CEO and Co-founder of Simplifya, the leading regulatory and operational compliance company for the cannabis industry in the United State – currently serving 29 states. He is also the Founder and Chairman of Ceylon Solutions, a software development company founded in 2005 that builds solutions for some of the leading cannabis and non-cannabis tech companies. 

Marion is also an investor and Board Member of Leafwire – the world’s largest Cannabis and Hemp Network in addition to serving on the board of Surna Corporation – a NASDAQ facility design & equipment company for controlled environment agriculture facilities for the cannabis industry. Marion is also a shareholder and Board Member of Cannabis OneClick – slated to launch in February of 2024. Marion also is an investor and Board Member of a few non-cannabis companies such as ilios and Spice Orgy. 

Marion currently has a total of 22 investments in various cannabis companies domestically and abroad and is an active angel investor and advisor. Prior to cannabis, Marion started, built and sold a handful of tech companies that ranged from real estate software, philanthropic software in addition to a tequila company. Marion is also a guest speaker at universities on the topic of entrepreneurship and social entrepreneurship that includes University of Colorado Denver and Boulder. 

Marion has served as a mentor and advisor to many startups over the years who have gone on to take exits and some that continue to successfully operate today. Marion was also an honorary delegate for the United Nations/UNF Global Accelerator Initiative – an honor only given to some of the top 100 social entrepreneurs from around the world. 

Lastly, prior to venturing out as an entrepreneur, Marion spent several of his early years after college sharpening his technical, software and management skills through his time at Cerner Corporation, Goldman Sachs, Orbitz and LaGarde. 

Marion lives in Denver Colorado with his wife Erin, son Michael (5) and daughter Quinn (7) and also has the fortune of having his parents right next door. Marion’s brother Gracian is an oil & gas engineer and executive out of Austin Texas.
