Megan brings a decade of extensive experience in the banking industry, specializing in BSA/AML, investigations, CDD/EDD/KYC, and currently excelling in cannabis-related banking. As the Manager of MRB Compliance in the MRB Program at Wright Patt Credit Union, Megan leads a dedicated team of MRB Analysts, overseeing program quality assurance and emerging as a Subject Matter Expert in the field. Megan played a pivotal role in establishing the MRB Program, facilitating banking services to cannabis businesses in Ohio for over 6 years—making WPCU the first in the state to support these underbanked enterprises. She has been instrumental in enhancing every aspect of the MRB Compliance department, contributing to the success of various independent audits and regulatory exams each year.
Megan holds a Certified Anti-Money Laundering Specialist (CAMS) certification as well as an Accredited Cannabis Banking Professional (ACBP) certification. She earned her Bachelor's Degree in Criminal Justice - Intelligence Analysis from Tiffin University. Complementing her achievements in the financial sector, Megan has served in the United States Air Force National Guard for over a decade, currently holding the rank of Technical Sergeant as an Ordnance Equipment Mechanic. Additionally, Megan actively contributes to the AML/BSA community, serving on the Board of Directors for the Central Ohio ACAMS Chapter. Her commitment involves fostering AML/BSA knowledge and information dissemination throughout Central Ohio via networking and outreach events for professionals in the field.
