Shirley Skyers-Thomas, JD MBA, is a dedicated advocate for justice. Working as Of Counsel for Skyers, Skyers and Harrell, LLC, she began as an advocate for children and youth as a Juvenile Special Public Defender. Thereafter, she continued advocating for justice while representing parents and educational organizations in civil and criminal matters. Her advocacy skills were enhanced further when she served as Counsel to the Senate Majority Leader. There she worked on varying aspects that helped move legislation and public policy forward with an eye to enhancing sustainable and equitable law and policy. She is a member of the service organizations Zeta Phi Beta Sorority, Inc. and The Links, Inc.
